About The Author
Mika Young is passionate about using her voice as an instrument of hope for the world’s lonely, hurting and forgotten. Mika has been an Inspirational/wellness columnist and entertainment reporter for Palm Springs, California publications and media outlets.
Before her sojourn in the desert, Mika returned to her alma mater, Berklee College of Music, to serve as an Assistant Director of Admissions, traveling extensively to interview and handpick thousands of vocalists, instrumentalists, genders and perspectives missing from Berklee's cultural fabric.
Mika is now a resident of her native Los Angeles, honored to be a full-time caregiver to her mom, and excited to see the message of this book become the personal mantra of many.
Mika's professional credits include: featured Poet for The Barnes & Noble/Valley Voices; a selected singer/songwriter for “We Are All Connected”, a CD compilation to raise funds and awareness about the atrocities in Darfur, and featured Guest Poet for Cal Arts “African American Arts Experience: ...”
